Registration now open for Spring 2014 EU Visits

January 2, 2014 | Ashli O'Connell

Christmas break can be a stressful time for high school seniors. While many have already committed to a college, many are still struggling with making a final decision about the future. And some who thought they knew what they wanted may be second guessing themselves as the reality of graduation sets in.

For students and parents alike, Christmas break presents an ideal time to research and discuss options. If you haven’t already, it’s also a great time to schedule a campus visit for the upcoming semester. Evangel has opened registration for Spring 2014 Visit Days to assist families in planning the remaining school year.

Visiting during the school year is ideal because it allows you to experience the campus when it’s full of student activity, says Lacey Mussetter, Evangel’s campus visit coordinator.

While prospective students can schedule visits on any weekday, Mussetter recommends attending a Friday Visit Day, which give students the opportunity to stay overnight in the residence halls.

“There are so many more options available for student visitors during our Friday visits,” Mussetter says. “I encourage overnight visits because this allows you to get a real picture of the student campus life, which is a lot of fun. It is also an opportunity to meet other prospective students and parents and have discussions about the similar processes and stages you are going through.”

The Friday Visit schedule includes a campus tour, Chapel service, classroom visit, lunch with a student host, meeting with faculty, and Q&A with admissions and financial aid counselors. Special sessions are also available for parents to specifically address their questions and concerns.

We look forward to meeting you on campus. Please contact us if we can assist your college visit planning in anyway. And until then, check out our virtual tour to learn more about Evangel.
