Founders Scholarship candidates conclude interview day

February 14, 2014 | Evangel University News

Evangel University hosted 37 Founders Scholarship candidates for official visits and interviews this week to determine which two students will receive full-tuition scholarships, and which 10 will receive half-tuition scholarships.

“We are honored to have 37 of the brightest high school students in the nation to interview for these prestigious scholarships,” says Becky Rhoades, who chaired of the Founders Interviewing Committee.

To reach the interview, scholarship hopefuls were required to have a minimum 3.8 high school grade point average (4.0 scale) and composite score of 30 or above on the ACT (1330 SAT).  They were also required to display considerable involvement in their church, school and community.

Aside from interviews, candidates were treated to a night of fun by the admissions team with dinner and recreation, and attended Friday’s chapel service.
