Photo Blog | ‘Breaking Free’ unites campus for Fashion Fever 2014

March 27, 2014 | Evangel University News

Evangel hosted its annual Fashion Fever event March 20 to benefit the Springfield Pregnancy Care Center and promote healthy and positive self-images for females around campus.

This year’s theme was “Breaking Free: Redeemed, Reclaimed, Restored.”

“The main purpose behind Fashion Fever is to promote a healthy body image, confidence and self-esteem in the women of our campus,” EU Counseling Services staff member Kerry Marsh says.

The night featured fashion, prizes and an inspirational message by Jennifer Beckham. Beckham, who is a former Disney princess, heads  Jennifer Beckham Ministries. She has traveled throughout the United States and Canada teaching practical, biblical principles to both men and women of all ages.

The Fashion Fever committee organized an outreach this year, asking for toiletries, baby items, women’s clothing and Walmart gift cards for the Pregnancy Care Center. The residence hall floor that donated the most items received VIP seating.
