Heath Adamson to be Organizational Leadership Program Summer Residency Guest Professor

The Master of Organizational Leadership faculty is pleased to welcome as guest professor Rev. Heath Adamson, national leader of the Assemblies of God youth ministries and board member of multiple organizations with global influence. Rev. Adamson will be speaking and teaching at the Summer Residency on July 5-7 on the Evangel University campus. As leader of the Assemblies of God youth ministries he serves more than half a million students and a national team of over 50 district leaders. He is intrinsically involved with the World Evangelical Alliance Youth Commission and chairs Empowered 21’s Next Generation Network and the Next Gen Commission for the World Assemblies of God Fellowship. Rev. Adamson is a graduate of the Evangel University Master of Organizational Leadership program and is a PhD candidate in religious studies at the University of Chester in England. His doctoral research addresses the development of church leaders.

Rev. Adamson is a visionary leader who routinely thinks and plans for the development of future leaders. He has a well-developed worldview and sees the big picture related to contemporary challenges and their connection to historical thought. He is a voracious reader and author of several books. During his time of leadership at the national office Heath has engaged in strategic planning that have led to significant changes in youth ministries within the Assemblies of God.

The Master of Organizational Leadership program has been instrumental in refining the leadership skills of hundreds of leaders over the past 15 years who have significant influence in non-profit organizations, business, government and church leadership. The degree program addresses leading organizations from a systems perspective focusing on the sub-systems that are critical to organizational success. Courses are offered in an online format with two residency experiences each year to increase interaction with faculty, peers, and guest professors. It is specifically oriented to professionals with leadership responsibilities and potential for career advancement.
