Evangel University

Why Evangel?

Why should you consider attending Evangel University? What sets us apart of from public universities? From other Christian universities? Why might Evangel be the right fit for YOU?

Our motto is “Boldly Christian, Unquestionably Academic.” What does that mean for our students?

Boldly Christian

Boldly Christian

Our theme “Christ is Lord,” is integrated with every aspect of campus life. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to the integration of faith, life and learning for our students. At Evangel you will learn to integrate your Christian faith into your chosen career field. You will have opportunities to put feet to your faith, serving at the local, national and international level. Your relationship with God will be challenged and strengthened through Chapel services, floor devotions and thought-provoking classes and workshops on all matters related to faith.

Evangel is the national Assemblies of God university for arts, sciences and professions. But it’s not just for Assemblies of God students. Evangel is home to many students from varying church and denominational backgrounds — what we share is our faith in Christ and our pursuit of biblical truth. Unquestionably Academic

Unquestionably Academic

Evangel is a fully accredited university with more than 100 academic programs on the cutting edge of today’s professional fields.

Our world-class faculty is made up of caring, Christian professionals who are distinguished in their fields. The student/teacher ratio at Evangel is 17:1, and the average class size is 25. Freshmen classes are taught by professors, not by student assistants, as is often the case at larger universities. This means students get plenty of personal attention by faculty who have dedicated their careers to the development of tomorrow’s Christian leaders.

Our alumni are in the halls of Congress, presidents of other colleges and universities, at the highest level of leadership in the Assemblies of God. They teach. They own businesses. They work in the entertainment industry. Our alumni are distinguishing themselves in every walk of life, serving as Christian leaders in the marketplace, the classroom, the world.

Why Evangel? Don’t take our word for it. Here’s what students and alumni have to say:
