Welcome to the Communication Department
Possibly one of the most crucial things in our overloaded Information Age is the effective communication of a message to a receiver. A degree in communication will help you understand and apply communication techniques in a variety of ways.
You can study video, audio, and film production, journalism, public relations, advertising, public speaking, multimedia design and much more — all applied through methods of electronic media, print and oral communication.
At Evangel University you will find our Department of Communication seeks to balance the historical and theoretical aspects of study with many hands-on opportunities.
In addition to on-campus learning, the department is frequently contacted by outside businesses and media who specifically seek our students for internships.
Possibly the best reason for choosing a communication degree from Evangel University is the commitment of our faculty and curriculum to helping you integrate a Christian worldview into the influence you will have in the communication field.
While you're here, be sure to explore Crusadermedia.com, a Web site that is programmed, written and designed by Evangel students and features all aspects of student media and campus life, as well as our award-winning campus newspaper and yearbook. If you're interested in broadcasting, you'll want to checkout ECTV and KECC radio. Through these media outlets, students gain real-world experience on state-of-the-art equipment to supplement their classroom training.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if there are any questions I can answer for you. We look forward to having you as a student at Evangel University.
