The Excalibur, Evangel's award-winning yearbook, has earned national recognition for its design, photography, and features.  Members of the Excalibur staff gain experience in the following areas:

The Excalibur is produced on Macintosh computers which are located in the Student Publications Lab.  This lab is equipped with eight Macintosh computers, a flat-bed scanner, a negative scanner and two laser printers, allowing the students to gain hands-on experience in desktop publishing.

Students of all majors are eligible to contribute to the Excalibur. Students may take the yearbook production class after having taken Media Writing.  The Excalibur is consistently recognized for the quality of its work by the Associated Collegiate Press, the Association of Christian Collegiate Media, the Missouri College Media Association and the Society for Collegiate Journalists.  Nancy Pace-Miller is the faculty adviser.

"The experience is preparation for the real world, in terms of getting things done on time."
