Welcome to the Department of Kinesiology
If you enjoy working with other people,value physical activity, and are interested in understanding the sciences related to human movement then you are in the right department. We offer degrees that will certify, license, or prepare you for an immediate career or entry into a graduate program. We also have minors in Sport Administration, Personal Training, and Health.
According to the Academy of Kinesiology, the study of kinesiology can lead to a variety of careers involving teaching, research, coaching and delivery of services related to physical activity and fitness, health promotion, rehabilitation and sports medicine. Positions are found in a variety of settings including schools, colleges and universities, public and private agencies, clinical environments, government, business and the military.
We believe that God has called Christian men and women to be effective leaders in each of our areas.; therefore we aspire to develop skilled Christian leaders in physical education, health, recreation, and exercise science by providing opportunities for the development of individuals as contributing members of society – physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, ethically, and with a core value system based upon spiritual concepts.
