Overseas Tours

Periodic overseas tours have provided Evangel music students with a broadened world perspective they could not have achieved without these experiences. In addition, these tours have created a measure of excitement and enthusiasm that have been wholesome and energizing for each group. The first overseas tour utilized the Concert Band in the summer of 1964. It was led by Grant Wacker, Evangel’s Director of Development. Jesse Peterson was the Music Director and conducted the band. The itinerary included stops in Scotland, England, France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and an appearance at the World Pentecostal Conference in Helsinki, Finland. Subsequent overseas tours by the Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Concert Orchestra have included ministry in churches, concert halls, outdoor programs, and in auditoriums across all of Great Britain, Europe, the Balkan States, and Greece.
