Pi Kappa Lambda

Pi Kappa Lambda, the national Honor Society for Musicians, formed at Northwestern University in 1918 and named in honor of the Dean of the School of Music at Northwestern University, Dr. Peter Cornelius Lutkin, established the Epsilon Psi Chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda at Evangel University in 1985.  The Handbook for the Society of Pi Kappa Lambda states, “Since the aim of the educative process is the stimulation of the student toward the highest level of achievement within his or her capabilities, outstanding accomplishment should be accorded particular recognition.”  We, the PKL faculty members of Evangel University, are committed to recognizing those students who exhibit remarkable accomplishments in both performance and scholarship endeavors by inviting these students to become members of Pi Kappa Lambda. Those persons interested in Pi Kappa Lambda and information regarding membership into the Epsilon Psi Chapter at Evangel University should contact Dr. Richard Honea, President of the Epsilon Psi Chapter.
