Springfield, Mo. — Jennifer Thacker has been selected by the Evangel Health, Physical Education & Recreation Department as the recipient of the 2006 Future Professional of the Year Award presented from the Missouri Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MOAHPERD) Convention which is held each year at the Lodge of the Four Seasons, Osage Beach, Missouri.
Jennifer was also the 2007 recipient of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) Outstanding Major of the Year Award presented from the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
Nominees are required to be of junior or senior status, have a GPA of 3.25 or above, maintain professional involvement on and/or off campus, and show evidence of high leadership qualities and accomplishments.
Jennifer attended high school in Nairobi, Kenya. Her parents are missionaries in East and Central Africa. Jennifer has accepted a physical education teaching position at Buffalo High School, in Missouri. She will also be the girls junior varsity basketball coach.
