I received a great education at Evangel, but most importantly, my character was shaped. Perhaps the most important thing I learned about being a person of integrity is that you have to be deliberate about it. I learned how to apply principals of goal setting in all areas of my life, and that each small decision I make affects whether or not I achieve those goals. In my marriage, we have set “peace” as a priority. Now we are sure to schedule time to be home and peaceful. I can remember a faculty member explaining to me that my calendar will fill up, so it’s important to literally schedule in our priorities – devotional time, family time, relaxation. In the 21st century, those are typically what is squeezed out of our schedules.
Deb is in the last year of her second three-year term on the Alumni Board of Directors.
