Major: Speech Education
Occupation: Owner/Office Manager of Rockafellow Photography, Inc.

Since graduating from Evangel I have found myself doing several things. First and foremost, I met my husband, Dan, and married him. We bought an existing Photography Studio, and in 1985 separated from our partner and opened under "Rockafellow Photography, Inc." For quite a while I worked at Evangel in the Development Office and teaching speech labs under the direction of Dr. Nona Dalan. After doing a "stent" over at Headquarters, I became a Medical Secretary for 10 years. Following the birth of my two daughters, I chose to stay home and make sure they were well taken care of. As they grew older and entered school, I began working in our business doing the payables and receivables and managing the office. I have been working with my husband now for 15 years, and have been quite happy doing so. I have always said that I have the best of both worlds - I bring home a paycheck and I am also free to go and do as needed when something arises.

Dan, and I have been very active at Evangel Temple Christian Center here in Springfield for the past 23 years. We have both served on the Elder Board, taught Sunday School, Missionettes, and Dan is presently the Senior Commander of the Royal Ranger program at the church. I have also served on the school board of New Covenant Academy, where our youngest daughter, Holly, attended school.

Amy, our oldest daughter is a graduate of Evangel. She graduated in 2002 with a degree in Special Education. Our son-in-law is presently the Web Designer/Editor for Evangel.

Attending Evangel has affected my life in so many ways. Besides the wonderful spiritual growth I experienced there, I also experienced academic and professional growth. Evangel prepared me for the world, so to speak. I graduated feeing confident that whatever came along, I could handle it. Over the years that has definitely proven to be the case. The faith that matured while I was at Evangel has served me well over the years.

Evangel did not provide me with a husband, but it did provide a wonderful son-in-law! Nathan did not attend Evangel but his mother and I were suite mates for three years while we were attending. We remained friends over the years, and when Sandy and Geoff decided to return to Springfield, Nathan came with them, and as they say "the rest is history."
