Major: Music Education
Occupation: Music Teacher at Northlake Elementary in Garland, Texas

Donna transferred to Evangel from Southwestern Assemblies of God College in the fall of 1981 in order to pursue a teaching certificate in Music Education. She considers it a true blessing to have been a part of both of these great universities. The memories of all the wonderful friends and teachers have made an indelible impression on her life.

After graduating from Evangel in 1983, Donna moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area and taught music at Englewood Christian School for two years. She also co-directed the children’s choir at Central Assembly in Raytown while living there.

Donna then moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the fall of 1985 to teach 6th-9th grade grammar and history at First Assembly Christian Academy. After doing this for one year she decided to return to her first love of teaching music and obtained an elementary music position in one of the large school districts of the greater Dallas metroplex.

She began teaching music at Northlake Elementary in Garland, Texas in 1986 and will complete her 19 th year there at the close of this school year. While living in the Dallas area, she has attended Garland First Assembly and been involved in many areas of ministry including children’s choir, VBS, adult choir, women’s ministries and home fellowship groups.

She feels that the training she received while at Evangel has given her a solid foundation for her career and ministry. She is very grateful to have the privilege of calling herself an Evangel graduate.
