Ellie Thomas '06 visited the Alumni Office on Feb. 24...her first visit to Riggs Hall. She teaches psychology courses at OTC here in Springfield.

Laura (Bilton ’64) Qualls, Edie (Bilton ’63) Conway with Joy (Andrick) Qualls (EU Faculty) and Blakeley Elisabeth Qualls visited the Alumni Office on Feb. 23. Laura was in from Virginia Beach, VA and Edie in from Kansas City to spend time with the new baby.  Both Laura and Edie are Evangel alumnae.  Laura is the mother and Edie is the Aunt of Joy’s husband, Kevin (’06), who is also an alumnus.

Steve ’00 and Susana (Renteria ’03) Casarez ’03, along with little Steve, stopped by the Alumni Office on Wednesday afternoon, February 10. They had not had opportunity to view Riggs Hall. Steve is looking forward to his 10-year class reunion in October.


Pia Sonnek ('03) and Kate Kasper ('03)

Pia Sonnek ('03) and Kate Kasper ('03), stopped by the alumni office on Friday, December 18, 2009, when they were on campus for a brief visit. Pia came from Normandy, France, to spend Christmas with Kate, her former college roommate. She is assistant director of the Jacques Lefevre Institute, a Christian liberal arts extension college in French language and cultural studies, located in Merville-Franceville-Plage, France. Kate is working at International House of Prayer and attending nursing school in Kansas City.

On Thursday, December 10 Charles and Charlotte Goble (Schumitsch '70) and Colleen Montag visited family in Springfield. Evangel was a "must stop by to see and visit" event on their schedule.

With John and Joanne Ohlin are Joanne's sister-in-law Colleen Montag and her cousin Charlotte Goble and husband Charles, from Wichita. On the right are John and Joanne's daughters Cheri (Ohlin) Moos and Becki (Ohlin '78) Iannone, both members of the EU staff.

Chuck Cox, Nathan '05 and Tausha (Fletcher '08) Bacorn

Nathan ('05) and Tausha ( Fletcher '08) Bacorn visited the Alumni Office on Monday afternoon, November 23, 2009 to show off their "Future Crusader," Benjamin. Nathan is youth pastor at Cornerstone A/G in Sidney Ohio and Tausha is in marketing and sales at Spinacker Coating.


Chuck Cox and Arlin Stacy '85

Arlin Stacy '85 stopped by the Alumni Office on a visit to the campus on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. He is the Administrator of the Collinsville (OK) Elementary School. He also serves as Head Coach for the H.S. Varsity Women's Basketball and Cross Country teams. The Cross Country team just won the state 5A Championship. Arlin's purpose for visiting was to bring a prospective student to look at our softball program.

Bryan Newswander ’06 recently stopped by the alma mater and paid a visit to the Alumni Office on Friday, October 30, 2009. He resides in Des Moines, Iowa, where he is the chairman of the newly formed political organization Future Leaders of Iowa. The goals of the organization include engaging, activating, and mobilizing young professionals in Iowa to help make a difference in politics and public policy.


Jeremiah '01 and Rebecca (Carey '00) Andrick

Jeremiah '01 and Rebecca (Carey '00) Andrick stopped by the Alumni Office on Friday, October 23, 2009. They are in town to attend the wedding of a friend and had not been back on campus for eight years. They marveled at the changes. The Andricks live in Bothell, WA where she is a 3rd grade teacher and he is Director of Online Strategy for Logitech.
