Indoor Track Completes Meet at Mule Relays

Springfield, MO – Evangel runners Nicholas Hestand and Max Schuman broke the school’s eight-year old record in the 5000 meter run and Kristin Ostrem broke the school’s record in the women’s mile and finished second in the Mule Relays at the University of Central Missouri this weekend.

Hestand finished eighth in the mile with a time of 15:49.26 and Schuman ended 12th with a time of 15:57.40. Both finishes broke mark of 16:19.17 set by Clint Davis on Jan. 26, 2001.

Kristin Ostrem was just three-tenths off the winning pace in the mile finishing with a time of 5:27.98, breaking the school record previously held by Andrea Galer at 5:32.36.
