Indoor Track Results From Pittsburg State
Ed Sands, LaMarcus Hunter Qualify For National Indoor Meet; Indoor Track Competes At Pittsburg State Invitational

Springfield, Mo. — Two Crusaders produced qualifying times that ensure them a berth in the NAIA National Indoor Track Championships at the Pittsburg State (NCAA-II) Invitational this weekend.
LaMarcus Hunter, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, won the 55 meter hurdles at the meet, set a school record and also qualified for nationals with a time of 7.63.
Ed Sands, a junior from Apopka, Florida, ran the 55 meter dash in 6.53 seconds in the preliminaries, a time good enough to qualify for the national meet. Sands finished fifth with a time of 6.55 in the finals.
The NAIA National Championship meet is March 5-7 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Kristin Ostrem broke the school record in the mile that she had set in her previous meet as she finished second with a time of 5:24.78. Ostrem was also third in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:34.93.
Kimberly Pasche was second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.29.
