LaMarcus Hunter Wins 55m Hurdles At HAAC Indoor Meet

Springfield, MO – LaMarcus Hunter won the Heart of America Athletic Conference title in the 55 meter hurdles at the HAAC Indoor Track Championship held at Graceland University last weekend.
Hunter, a sophomore from Houston, Texas, ran a 7.72 in the finals to win the event.
Austin Jacobs, a freshman from West Des Moines, Iowa, broke an Evangel record in the 1,000 meter run and finished seventh with a time of 2:40.63. Jacobs also finished sixth in the mile with a time of 4:35.34.
Evangel sprinters broke a school record in the 4 x 800 meter relay finishing with a time of 8:33.57 and in eighth place.
Evangel’s highest finisher in the women’s competition was freshman Kristin Ostrem. She finished third in the mile with a time of 5:23.62 and third in the 3,000 meter run at 10:45.70.
