Springfield, Mo. — LaMarcus Hunter finished second in the nation in the 55 meter hurdles at the NAIA National Indoor Track Championships in Johnson City, Tennessee.
In the finals of the 55 meter hurdles, Hunter posted a time of 8.07. He finished behind only Doane (Neb.) College’s Virgil Mitchell who won with a time of 7.93. Hunter’s time tied an NAIA Championship meet record while Mitchell’s winning time broke the record.
The Houston, Texas native is in his first year with Evangel after transferring from the University of Houston. Hunter is in his sophomore season and will compete for the Crusaders in outdoor track and football.
