Softball's Breanna Canclini named HAAC Player of the Week

Springfield, MO — Evangel outfielder Breanna Canclini has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference softball Player of the Week.
Canclini hit .500 last week going 7 for 14 at the plate in six games. The senior from Placerville, California hit four home runs and had 8 RBIs. She also scored seven runs, drew eight walks and had a slugging percentage of 1.357. Canclini homered twice in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday at Graceland marking the third time she has had a multi-home run game.
For the season, Canclini is batting .430 with a league leading 12 home runs and 50 RBIs in 39 games.
This award marks the third time Canclini has been honored by the league for Player of the Week. She previously has won the award for Feb. 15-22 and March 2-8.
Evangel enters this week ranked 18th nationally by the NAIA with an overall record of 31-11 and are 16-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
