Softball hosts Missouri Valley in HAAC Semifinals

Springfield, Mo. — Evangel University will host Missouri Valley in a best-of-three Heart of America Athletic Conference semifinal playoff series starting Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Evangel Baseball / Softball Complex.
The second game of the series will also be played Tuesday following completion of the opening game of the series. A third game, if necessary, will be played Wednesday at 3 p.m. on the Evangel field.
Evangel (34-11) is the top seed in the conference tournament as they finished the league regular season with a 17-3 record. Missouri Valley (29-20) is seeded fourth after going 12-8 in the HAAC. The Lady Vikings advanced to the second round with a 2-0 series win over William Jewell while Evangel won their opening series 2-0 over Benedictine.
The winner of the series will advance to the HAAC Championship Series and play the winner of the semifinals series between Central Methodist and Lindenwood.
Each of the Evangel’s postseason games will be broadcast live on the Internet at www.allinbroadcasting.com.
