Baseball in first postseason in nine years

Springfield, Mo — The Evangel University baseball team will make its first postseason appearance since the 2000 season this week in the Heart of America Athletic Conference tournament.
The Crusaders finished sixth in the conference standings with an 18-22 record and a 26-29 record overall. The top six teams in the HAAC qualify for the postseason tournament. Evangel will play top seeded Lindenwood (39-10, 32-8) in the opening round of the conference tournament Friday at noon.
The double-elimination tournament will be held at Estes Field at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. The tournament starts Friday and runs through May 5.
Each of Evangel’s postseason games will be broadcast live on the Internet through www.allinbroadcasting.com.
