Krause Hall had a million-dollar renovation during the summer of 2010.
Students returned to a residence hall that was thoroughly gutted and updated with 54 new bathroom units, 108 new windows and insulated walls, 108 newly carpeted rooms, 108 new entrance doors and 216 new furniture sets.
The work was funded in part by many Krause Hall alumni.
Henry Krause Hall, named for one of the first members of Evangel’s board of directors, opened in 1970. It was the first permanent dorm for men on campus. Since that time the fraternity of Krause Hall brothers has been a prominent legacy on campus. Campus leaders, student athletes and scholars all claim membership in the brotherhood.
