Residence Life

Evangel believes that developing relationships and building community in the residence halls is a valuable part of the college experience. The informal interaction that takes place while living on campus complements the academic discussions of the classroom and plays an integral role in the personal development of the college student. The residence halls are an environment where living and learning simultaneously touch every aspect of life.

Evangel believes in treating each student as a whole person. The goal of the residence life staff at Evangel is to take the student beyond the academic arena to impact his/her development in the social, personal, physical, and spiritual areas of life. The residence hall is the best place to implement this holistic approach that reflects the ultimate goal in residence life, which is the individual growth and development of the resident students at Evangel.

Because of the educational and social values gained through residence life programs, as well as increased opportunities for participation in campus life, all unmarried students under the age of 23 who are not living with their parents or legal guardians are expected to live in the residence halls if they are enrolled for 10 hours or more. Requests for exceptions are to be directed to the Director of Housing.
