The 2008 Colossal Garage Sale

Another very successful sale goes into the record books thanks to many who gave of their time and energy.

• We had over 1,000 hours of work donated during the preparation, sale days and dismantling on Saturday.
• There were a total of 77 volunteers including: our auxiliary, their husbands and children; home school families; and friends.
• At the end of the sale we invited several agencies that provide free clothing to those in need to come and help themselves before we packed everything remaining into the Victory Mission truck.

Once again this year we broke the previous year’s record. Our total sales were $13,988.30 which represents an increase of $415.20 over 2007. We will have some publicity expenses that will need to be deducted from this total sales amount.

From the Desk of the EU Auxiliary President:
During the week the weather channel forecasted weather concerns for the entire week. God was so good. The entire week during our sale hours we only had heavy rain on Wednesday late morning and afternoon.

Thanks to everyone who came to assist and for all the prayers. With all of us working together in unity and a sweet spirit, we experienced a very smooth sale. The clean up on Saturday afternoon was completed in just forty five minutes thanks to a group of 39 who came to help!

Thank you God for helping us during this 28th annual sale. To you be the glory, great things you have done!
