Heritage Room
We were elated to have a tour of the newly completed Heritage Room Phase 2 after our January monthly meeting. The Heritage Room committee has put in much thought, time and effort which has resulted in a beautiful, inviting, professional yet relaxing room. A lot of creativity and thought is revealed with the heritage displays and picture arrangements. The seven minute video is excellent as it presents a rich picture of the heritage of our university.
Our auxiliary can proudly look at this wonderful addition to the Riggs administration building knowing our gifts, pledges and fundraisers are allowing us to be financially responsible for this room.
The room is open daily. Everyone is invited and encouraged to view it.
February Meeting
We want to offer a special invitation to all our auxiliary members, spouses and friends as we “Celebrate Love—for our family and friends” at our upcoming Valentine Celebration. David and Susan Smith, Evangel faculty, will present our program through drama and song.

Please note the 5 p.m. start time. There will be a consolidation prayer meeting at 7 p.m. in the Barnett Fine Arts Center. Our auxiliary meeting will be concluded in time to allow the opportunity to attend both events.

Heritage Room Phase 2 Project Update

When we initiated this project, the physical plant intended to provide assistance. Since circumstances did not allow this to happen, the committee had to outsource some of the work which meant extra expense. Our board was approached and we unanimously voted in favor of increasing the project by $6,000. At our January meeting, the membership also unanimously voted in favor to make the new project total $46,000.
The university is allowing us to pay as we have the funds available. To date we have paid $20,000 bringing our amount due down to $26,000. Thank you and God bless you as you continue to support this endeavor.
Upcoming Event
Valentine Sale Fundraiser: Tuesday, February 14
Thank you in advance to everyone who is willing to donate baked goods.
The success of this annual event depends on our active and inactive members’ participation. We request that all the food be wrapped in quantities that you desire to have them sold. Labeling them is also helpful.
We are continuing to have two locations: The Student Union foyer (near the bookstore) and the west lobby of Zimmerman Hall. The sale will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.
