Recognitions and Awards
This year at the 2007 Family and Friends luncheon held on 10-12-07 the AEUFF award recipient was Mrs. Muriel Denton and her late husband Jim.
Jim and Muriel were recognized for their leadership in the formation of the student hospitality program at Evangel.
Their mentoring of students and outstanding volunteer service have been shining examples for those who have followed their lead in ministering to the Evangel students through this outstanding program.
Muriel currently serves as the EU Auxiliary President.
Brenda McCorcle
Brenda McCorcle was surprised to be the recipient of the Spring Family & Friends recognition. She was honored for outstanding volunteer service during her five years as a founding member of the AEUFF executive council. Her incredible gift of hospitality to alumni, students and friends is her greatest asset. Evangel President Robert H. Spence and David Barnett shared in the presentation.
Gordon and Darlene Stiles
Vice President Jim Williams and President Spence, on behalf of the Association of Evangel University Family & Friends, honored Gordon and Darlene Stiles during the Homecoming luncheon for five decades of volunteer service to the Ladies' Auxiliary and Men's Council. The award was inscribed, "Through the giving of their time, talents and leadership, the Stiles have been faithful supporters of Evangel University. Their dedication and unselfish love have enriched the lives of our students."
