Dorm Room Design - Accuracy and Variations - Samples

To create an object, you will need to fill out the necessary fields in the "Object Creator," which is located along the top of the design room application. The Object Creator allows you to create ellipses, rectangles and right triangles of various sizes and colors. Use the drop down menus provided to select which object you want to create and which color you want it to be. Next, fill in the height and width of the object in inches. When you have entered your measurements and selected your object type and color, then click on the "Create object" button. The application will create your object to scale and it will appear in the middle of the dorm room layout.
Note: You must enter numeric values in the length and width fields for an object to be created.
To rotate an object, click on the desired object and press R on your keyboard. The object will rotate in 45-degree increments.
To move an object to the front, click on the desired object press F on your keyboard.
To move an object to the back, click on the desired object press B on your keyboard.
To delete an object, click on the desired object and press D on your keyboard.
To get the layout of the mirror image of the room which is currently displayed, simply click on the square button in the upper right hand corner that reads "Flip Room." You can toggle back and forth from these room designs by clicking on the "Flip Room" button.
To display the fixed wall lights that Krause, Scott and Walther halls have, simply click in the check box next to the "Fixed wall lights for Krause & Walther" prompt. This check box will toggle the presence of the wall lights. The wall lights will remain if you flip the room and they are toggled on. To print your layout , simply click on your browser's print button.
