| Best thing about EU: |
Definitely the people! It’s great to have nice buildings, grand trees, and beautifully landscaped grounds, but the people make Evangel the university that I can warmly call home. I could write a book about all the things I love about Evangel, but I know I don’t have that much room in this profile. :-) In addition to the people, I love the size of EU. At Evangel, students are more than just a number. At Evangel, the members of faculty are more than just teachers. In the short time I have been at Evangel, several of my professors already hold a special place in my heart because of their words of encouragement, their apparent concern for my well-being, their interest in my life. |
| Favorite thing about Springfield: |
Springfield has the nickname “Bible-belt of America.” The atmosphere truly reflects that title. I love that Springfield has the conveniences of a larger city, but the atmosphere of a small town. One of my favorite places to go is the National Park at the south end of Glenstone. Just a 15-20 minute drive takes me to a place with a maze of biking and walking trails! Besides, seeing the deer and the squirrels makes me feel at home. :-) |
| Advice for prospective students: |
DREAM BIG!!! Nothing is impossible for God. If God is drawing you to a Christian university, don’t let anything discourage you; He will provide. One of my teachers last semester told us, “When God calls, He also equips.”
— Luke 18:27-30 “Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with men is possible with God.’ Peter said to him, ‘We have left all we had to follow you!’ ‘I tell you the truth,’ Jesus said to them, ‘no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life." |
