How do I pay the housing deposit?
You can mail in a check or money order or call 1-800-EVANGEL to pay over the phone with a credit/debit card. You can also pay in person with cash, check, money order or credit/debit card.
What happens to the deposit?
The $200 room reservation deposit will be credited to your account for room and board ($100 will go towards the fall and $100 will go towards the spring). If you decide not to attend Evangel University in a given semester, the reservation is transferable to the next semester. And you can get it refunded if you notify the Director of Housing or the Office of Admissions by May 31 for the fall semester or December 1 for the spring semester.
Can I live on an honors floor?
Yes. After completing the housing form mentioned above, you will have an opportunity to list your preference to live on an honors floor. New Student Honor Floor (pdf)
Are students required to live on campus?
Because we value the learning that takes place as a result of living together in Christian community, Evangel University is a residential campus by design. Generally, unmarried students under age 23 are required to live on campus. See the off-campus requirements (pdf)
Can I have a private room?
Private rooms are not available to new incoming students. Returning students can apply for a private room (subject to availability). The cost is approximately twice that of a double-occupancy room. Please see current tuition prices for exact cost.
Does Evangel offer meal plans for students living on campus?
Yes. Collegiate Catering, a company specializing in food services for many colleges and universities in Missouri provides Evangel's "all-you-can-eat" meal plans. There are 3 meal-plan options: 19, 15, or 10 meals per week. There is also a declining balance card (dcb) for students living off-campus. More info on meal plans

Are students allowed to have lofts in their residence hall rooms?
Yes, many students choose to rent, purchase or build a loft in order to make maximum use of the space contained in their residence hall room. Lofts are not permitted in Lewis 1S, Spence 3S, Walther Hall, Scott Hall, or Burgess Hall as these rooms already contain furniture that may be lofted or bunked: Loft guidelines
