Housing Info
Only students 22 years of age and older can apply for off campus housing
Each hall has a microwave and an ice machine for student use
What does each room provide?
- Carpeting
- Air-conditioning
- Sink and vanity
- Two twin beds
(only Scott and Krause Halls have extra-long mattresses but they are available upon request for other halls) - Two desks with chairs
- One four-drawer chest
- Two closets (each closet is 46” x 21” and has two shelves)
- Standard window (opening is 34” x 44”)
- A bathroom with a tub/shower and a toilet connects the two rooms in each suite
- Within each residence hall there is a coin-operated laundry facility
Computing: One computer lab in each residence hall (open 24 hours) and there is free Internet access available in all residence hall rooms. Learn more about Evangel's labs.
Phone Service: Basic phone service included in room charge (phone not provided)
What should I bring for my residence hall room?
Necessities:
- mattress cover (required)
- linens
- blankets
- bedspread
- clothes hangers
- towels
- cleaning supplies
- laundry detergent
- wastebasket
- personal hygiene items
- plastic storage containers
- telephone (room phones are not provided)
Electrical items (optional):
- hair dryer
- curling iron

- radio/stereo
- small microwave
- laptop/PC
- TV, DVD
- headphones (for students who prefer to study with music/TV and have roommates who don’t)
- refrigerator (4 cubic feet and under)
- cooking appliances with no exposed heating element (hot pot, crock pot, blender, coffee pot, popcorn popper)
- appliances such as an electric frying pan, griddle, electric burner, toaster oven, etc. are not permitted.
- each residence hall is equipped with an ice machine, vending machines and a microwave oven and/or toaster.
- iron/ironing board--each hall has an iron and ironing board available in the laundry room. Additionally, students on many of the floors pool their resources to provide them for their floor. We recommend waiting until after you move in to decide whether you need to bring your own.
Note: All appliances must use a power strip with an electrical breaker switch.
Miscellaneous:
- pictures, posters, etc. (nails are not allowed-poster tack recommended)
- small sofas, couches, or chairs
- small aquarium (fish are the only pets permitted)
- potpourri (objects capable of producing an open flame are prohibited in the residence halls including burning/burnt candles, incense, oil lamps, matches and cigarette lighters)
