I feel privileged having gained my preparation for school administration through the Evangel program. The professors were tremendous models of educational leadership and mentors for me in the program. The relationships built with faculty and fellow students combined as a powerful resource for me in my preparation to become an administrator.

My experience at Evangel University was wonderful! The small class sizes made it easy for me to interact with my colleagues and professors. I also appreciated having knowledgeable educators, who were aware of the current issues and trends in education.

Once I made the decision to pursue a Master's degree in education, the decision of where to pursue it was easy. The things that I had enjoyed as an Evangel undergrad — smaller class sizes and the faculty's personal interest in the success of the students — meant even more to me at the graduate level. I am grateful to the faculty and staff of EU's Graduate Studies for laying a solid foundation upon which I can build my teaching career.

Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor
Owner of All things New Counseling Services, LLC

Evangel's Master of Science in Clinical Psychology provided me with an outstanding balance of academic training and faith integration to succeed as a Christian in my practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I apply the things I learned at Evangel on a regular basis in my practice, and have appreciated the quality of the program over the years since my graduation. I believe my training at Evangel exceeded the typical standards of similar programs at other institutions, where certain course material was not included at the Master's level, and I feel well prepared to continue in a doctoral program. I look back at my time as a grad student at Evangel with incredible fondness as I always felt valued and encouraged as a student in the program, and later as a professional in the field. I developed relationships with many of my instructors that remain strong even seven years later. Evangel provides more than just academic training; it provides a rich and rewarding experience that allows its students to integrate, apply, and live what they learn.

School Counseling, May 2006
School Counselor, Rolla Middle School, Rolla, Missouri

The Masters of School Counseling at Evangel has been pivotal to my formation as an educator and Christ-follower. I can think of no other institution which would value one's personal faith and the impact it has on their calling in their chosen profession. This program does a superb job of informing students of relevant counseling theory and ethics, providing consistent mentoring, and empowering students to incorporate and understand their faith in the context of becoming an outstanding school counselor.
