The Kaude Kendrick Library, dedicated in 1963, is named in honor of Evangel University's first president Dr. Klaude Kendrick, who served from 1955-1958.

Served in all capacities available to men on faculty and staff at Southwestern Assemblies of God University . . . was always willing to help . . .skilled with hands, helped do remodeling work on another office during summer . . .skilled with figures, worked as business manager when it was a day to day situation . . .academically determined - rode caboose cars or freights back and forth to Austin while he worked on his degree . . .interested in history of the Assemblies of God . . . his dissertation was published as a book which became the first long work on Pentecostal history and more specifically the Assemblies of God. The book now is considered a foundational study which appears regularly on Pentecostal bibliographies . . .he was considered a man of action . . .he was respected as a man and as a scholar .
