Alina Black

Alina BlackAlina grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, developing her Woo strength at church. She earned a degree in marketing and management from Evangel University and a master’s degree in counseling from Missouri State University. Leveraging her Learner and Context strengths, she is currently completing her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. Alina teaches in the behavioral science and leadership departments and coordinates the leadership and strengths-based development programs. Prior to teaching at Evangel, Alina worked in business and psychology for 10 years. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Strengths Coach, Alina travels and serves public and private organizations to help leaders maximize talent. She is passionate about helping individuals discover their God-given strengths and finding the right roles in personal and professional endeavors. She is currently working on research in the areas of strengths-based education and leadership development. During the 07-08 school year, Alina will participate in the Leadership Springfield program sponsored by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys traveling, remodeling her home and being with her vital friends.
