Together with CrossWalk, LifeWorks coordinates with area churches, businesses, and community organizations to help students find meaning and value in civic service and career exploration. Volunteer work ranges from a one-time experience to a semester of weekly volunteer service.

Opportunities:
- Literacy/ESL tutors, CrossWalk activities, Convoy of Hope, nursing home and group home visitation, healthcare ministries, and more.
- Volunteer at a church or Christian organization.
- Service courses designed to provide the theoretical foundation as well as the practical experience necessary for effective service in local, national, and global service efforts.

Can I receive academic credit for volunteer work?
No academic credit will be awarded for volunteering in the community. However, by filling out the Leadership and Service Report, students’ volunteering hours will be tracked, and they will receive a volunteer transcript upon graduation. Forms are also located outside the cafeteria, outside the CrossWalk office, in the chapel office, and in the LifeWorks office. -
