Evangel senior sees paper published in math magazine

Springfield, Mo — A paper written by Evangel University senior Joseph Bohanon was included in a recent issue of Pentagon, a mathematics magazine published by Kappa Mu Epsilon (KME), a national mathematics honor society.

The paper, "Quadratic Varieties," was presented by Bohanon at the National KME convention at Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., April 5-7, 2001. He will present another paper at the upcoming KME regional convention, which will be held in April at Central Missouri State University.

Bohanon, son of Dr. Joseph and Peggie Bohanon of Springfield, Mo., is a math major at Evangel, and he is a 2000 graduate of Hillcrest High School. He plans to earn a master's degree in mathematics after his graduation from Evangel in May.
