EU baseball Crusaders sign 14 new recruits

Springfield, Mo. — Evangel’s head baseball coach, Lance Quessenberry, has released the names of 14 new recruits for the Crusaders’ upcoming season.

Dale Bean (P-OF), incoming freshman, played for the Springfield Knights home school team in Springfield, Mo.

Lewis Davis (INF-P), incoming sophomore, played at Evangel University his freshman year but left and is returning. He played for Athens (Texas) Senior High School.

Scott Ditzfield (P), incoming junior transfer from Crowder College, Neosho, Mo., played for Sedalia High School.

Cole Farmer (OF), incoming sophomore transfer from College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ill., played for Glendale High School in Springfield, Mo.

Zach Farmer (INF-P), incoming sophomore transfer from Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College, played for Branson (Mo.) High School, where he earned 2005 COC All-Conference honors.

Tyler Henry (C), incoming junior transfer from Seward County Community College, Liberal, Kan., where he was a Jayhawk West All-Conference selection. He played for Denver (Colo.) Christian High School.

Kris Irwin (INF-P), incoming sophomore transfer from St. Louis (Mo.) Community College-Meramec, played for Plato (Mo.) High School, where he earned All-State honors in 2005.

Adelson Lebron (C-P), incoming sophomore transfer from Lake Sumter Community College, Leesburg, Fla., played for Apopka (Fla.) High School.

Craig Penley (P-INF), incoming sophomore transfer from St. Louis (Mo.) Community College-Meramec, played for Plato (Mo.) High School, where he earned All-State honors in 2004 and 2005.
