Evangel to benefit from Monsanto grant to MCF

Springfield, Mo. — Evangel University is one of 13 universities whose students will benefit from the generosity of the Monsanto Fund, which recently provided a grant of $26,000 to the Missouri Colleges Fund. The grant will be used to underwrite scholarships for each of the MCF member schools.

The MCF was formed in 1952 as a nonprofit corporation. The mission of MCF is to acquire resources to help educate students in its 13 member private liberal arts colleges and universities.

In addition to Evangel University, Missouri Colleges Fund member schools are Avila University, Kansas City; Central Methodist University, Fayette; Culver-Stockton College, Canton; Drury University, Springfield; Fontbonne University, Maryville University and Missouri Baptist University, St. Louis; Park University, Parkville; Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar; Westminster College, Fulton; William Jewell College, Liberty; and William Woods University, Fulton.
