Cathryn “When there’s a tough, complicated puzzle that needs to be unraveled, I always know I can count on Cat,” said George Crawford, vice president of the Business Office.

Cathryn “Cat” Vincel started at Evangel in 1973 as an invoice clerk in the accounts payable area. In less than a year she was promoted to supervisor of accounts receivable. In that position, she demonstrated diligence and accuracy, two attributes important to the process of registering students and recording transactions.

Currently, she works part time reconciling the University’s bank accounts, providing backup for the cashier, preparing reports for the auditors and helping the department wherever she is needed.

“It’s a tremendous blessing to the office to have someone who can step in and help in several different areas and do the job well,” said Crawford.

Cat is also a talented musician who plays percussion in the Springfield Symphony.
