Springfield, Mo. — Evangel University senior Megan Miller, a psychology and criminal justice major, spent 10-weeks this summer in an internship with the FBI in Washington, D.C.
She is the daughter of Michael and Susan Miller of Wichita Falls, Texas, and was one of 150 students chosen from more than 10,000 applicants from universities all over the United States.
The internship program offers outstanding college students an insider’s view of FBI operations and provides an opportunity to explore the many career opportunities within the Bureau.
Honors interns work with special agents and professional staff personnel on important cases and management issues. Students are assigned to an FBI Headquarters division based on their academic discipline, potential contribution to the division and the needs of the FBI.
“I was placed in the Behavioral Analysis Unit at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Va., and was part of a behavioral research group that worked on issues involving violent crimes against children,” Miller said. “I also did criminal research with research analysts, attended executive briefings with FBI agents and staff and had the opportunity to practice at the shooting ranges.”
