Evangel hosts state PBL training seminar

Springfield, MO. — The Evangel Phi Beta Lambda team will host the Missouri State PBL Leadership Training Seminar on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in AB-II 101.

More than 150 students from colleges and universities statewide will attend this event, which targets leadership development and education. Highlight topics include communications, community service, organizational marketing and business ethics.

Peter Herschend, co-owner and co-founder of Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation, will be the keynote speaker at 11:30 a.m.

The Herschend Corporation includes family-oriented theme parks such as Silver Dollar City, White Water, Celebration City, Stone Mountain Park and Ride the Ducks.

Missouri PBL President Jacob Williams, a junior marketing major at Evangel, will lead the seminar.

PBL is the college division of Future Business Leaders of America, FBLA-PBL, INC. Missouri has the fourth largest PBL chapter in the nation.

PBL’s goal is to develop leadership, communication and team building skills of its organizational members while providing networking opportunities for college students looking to start a career in the business world.
