Evangel senior to benefit from Sprint donation to MCF

Springfield, MO. – Evangel University senior Amy Franklin, Fredericksburg, Va., is recipient of a $1,000 Sprint Teacher Scholarship. She is majoring in early childhood education.

Evangel recently received funds to award the scholarship to a student who is pursuing a career in teaching.

Sprint (NYSE:S) is underwriting $1,000 scholarships for each of the Missouri Colleges Fund member schools through a $14,000 donation made to MCF on August 11, 2006.

The MCF member schools are independent baccalaureate degree-granting liberal arts and comprehensive colleges and universities in the state of Missouri. The schools are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, and their income is derived primarily from private sources.

MCF was incorporated in 1952 as a partnership of private enterprise and the member independent colleges and universities in the Show-Me State. The MCF is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation; therefore, all contributions to the MCF are tax-deductible up to the limits prescribed by law.
