The Evangel volleyball team has been seeded fifth in the upcoming Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) postseason tournament. The Lady Crusaders (21-13) will travel to fourth-seeded Baker University (23-11) in Baldwin City, Kansas for the quarterfinal round on Saturday, Nov. 4. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
The Evangel/Baker winner will face William Jewell (No. 1 seed)/ Avila (No. 8 seed) winner in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the site of the higher-seeded survivor. In the lower half of the bracket, No. 2 Lindenwood will host No. 7 Culver-Stockton and No. 3 Benedictine will host No. 6 Graceland.
Both semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the site of the higher seeded team in the championship game of the conference tournament.
Following the HAAC and the American Midwest Conference (AMC) tournaments, the final NAIA Region V poll will be released on Monday, Nov. 13. The top eight teams on the poll will play in the first round of the Region V tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the sites of the higher ranked teams. The HAAC and AMC tournament champions will earn automatic berths into the Region V tourney. The tournament continues on Nov. 17 (semifinals) and Nov. 18 (final) at Columbia ( Mo.) College.
The Region V tournament winner will advance to the NAIA national tournament on Nov. 29-Dec. 2 at Columbia College.
