Criminal Justice team places at regional competition

The Evangel University chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association, Theta Alpha Delta, attended the Association’s regional conference in Jefferson City, Mo., Nov. 3-5.

College students from nine states were at the conference. They attended a job fair and workshops and also participated in several competitions.

Evangel won trophies in all categories as follows:

Academic testing

• Daniel Sangaree – 1st place in Courts System
• Daniel Sangaree – 1st place in Corrections

Criminal Investigation

• Tyler Loven, Aaron Maxwell, Curtis Williams – 3rd place in lower division
• Jon Cron, Jason Gray, Bob Cirtin – 2nd place in professional division

Firearms

• Jon Cron, Curtis Williams, Luke Bowdre – 3rd place in lower division
• John Scott, J.D. Lawrence – 3rd place in upper division

Physical Agility Obstacle Course

• Kim Miller – 1st place, women 25 years of age and under
• Bob Cirtin – 1st place, 36 years of age and up
