Forensics team placed third overall in 7th Annual Gateway Invitational

Springfield, MO. — The Evangel University Forensics Team, under the leadership of Dr. Mark Kelton, placed third overall at the 7th Annual Gateway Forensics Invitational tournament on Nov. 11 at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

Thirteen schools, including Evangel, participated.

Charity Sites, senior Bible and communication major, took first place in the dramatic interpretation.

Ashley Tanner, junior advertising and public relations major, placed second in program oral interpretation. Rachael Wilmot, freshman communications studies major from Germany, placed second in poetry interpretation.

Courtney Pitchford, senior government and communication studies major from Lumberton, Texas, took third place in communication analysis. Shannon Davis, senior elementary education major from Baldwinsville, N.Y., placed third in dramatic interpretation.

Other members who placed in different events include Ly’Rae Cook, sophomore; Jessica Dougherty, sophomore; Martina Conley, sophomore; Amber Wilson, junior; Kayla Romjue, freshman; Rebecca Earle, junior and Christina Glowacki, junior.
