Indoor Track and Field Teams Begins 2006-07 Season

The 2006-07 Evangel University indoor track and field team competed in its first meet of the season on Jan. 26-27 at the Fazolis/Baymont Inn Open Invitational at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. The meet featured teams from both the NCAA and NAIA.

Mallory Brading and Zach Ruble had the top finishes for the Crusaders. Brading placed fifth in the women’s 1600 meter run (5:48.75). Ruble took fifth in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles (8.93) and then finished fourth in the finals (9.03).

Another trip to Joplin is up next for EU’s indoor track and field team. The Crusaders will compete in Missouri Southern State University’s Radio Shack Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3.
