Springfield, Mo. — Bernie Dana, assistant professor of business at Evangel University, will be speaking at two national health care events in October and November.
Dana will be the keynote speaker for the Oregon Health Care Association’s Quality Summit on Nov. 2 in Clackamus, Ore. The Summit will focus on leadership and quality in the long-term care profession. As keynote speaker, Dana will present a three-hour seminar titled, “Effective Leadership: Finding the Path to Performance Excellence.”
He will also deliver a presentation at the American Health Care Association’s National Convention in Boston, Mass., on Oct 8. Dana and Dr. Doug Olson from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire will be presenting a seminar titled “The Leadership Edge” which is based on a paper published in February that the two co-authored for the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Dana is nationally recognized for his expertise in the areas of leadership and quality improvement in long-term care. He was an executive and consultant in the long-term care profession for 28 years before joining the Evangel faculty six years ago. He has also conducted research and authored numerous articles and a book on these topics. Dana holds a Master of Quality Management degree from Loyola University–New Orleans.
