Springfield, Mo. — Evangel University will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Ralph M. Riggs Administration Building at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, as a part of the annual Homecoming Week.
The event will be held on the northwest corner of the construction site.
The new three-level building is a 69,000-sq.-ft. facility that is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2008. Site preparation began this summer.
The administration building will contain the offices for the President, vice presidents and their administrative support staff.
The building will also house the Heritage Room, which will be the largest single room in the building. It is designed to hold 60 people in a lecture style setting and 100 people in a reception style setting.
