Springfield, Mo. — Evangel freshman Joanna Van Ronk is the recipient of a $1,500 A.G. Edwards Scholarship for 2007-2008.
Van Ronk, a business management major from Adna, Wash., is a 2007 graduate of Adna High School. She is the daughter of Jerry and Jeanette Van Ronk.
As a student at Evangel, Van Ronk is the public relations director for her floor council and is active in the University’s theatre arts program.
A.G. Edwards is underwriting the scholarship through a generous donation made to Missouri Colleges Fund. Each of the 15 MCF member schools received funds to award scholarships to outstanding students.
Evangel University is the national Assemblies of God college of arts, sciences and professions. Evangel holds accreditation with the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, the National Association of Schools of Music and the Council on Social Work Education.
Dr. Robert H. Spence is president and Dr. Glenn H. Bernet is vice president for academic affairs and dean of the University.
