Springfield, Mo. — Evangel University’s Students in Free Enterprise team will be taking about 50 fifth grade students from Truman Elementary School to Incredible Pizza Company on Friday, Nov. 16.
On Nov. 15, Evangel’s SIFE team taught those same students basic principles of business, and the fifth graders will be putting those principles into practice by touring Incredible Pizza and talking with its employees about different aspects of the business. The students will identify how revenue is generated and search for all of the types of expenses they learned about in the classroom.
Incredible Pizza is also providing a free lunch for the students.
The SIFE student leaders are freshman business management majors Nick Reasor, Nixa, Mo., and Bryan Lippy, Taneytown, Md.
SIFE is an international nonprofit organization active on more than 1,800 university campuses in 40 countries. SIFE teams created economic opportunities in their communities by organizing outreach projects that teach market economics, entrepreneurship, personal financial success skills and business ethics.
