Springfield, MO. — A Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at Evangel University on Monday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m.
The ceremony, the first of what will become an annual event, will be held in the center of campus by the clock tower. The 14-foot tree will be illuminated and Christmas carols will be sung.
The Christmas tree was purchased earlier this year by the Evangel Student Government Association along with two five-foot-diameter Christmas wreaths. The wreaths will be placed in the Cantrell Student Union Building and between the Trask and Zimmerman academic buildings.
Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided.
